How to open a company in Malta?

Legislation:

Offshore activity in Malta is regulated by the Companies Ordinance 1984, amended 1992, 1996.

Organizational and legal forms

• Private Limited Company - A private company with limited liability;
• Shipping Company - Shipping company;
• Partnership;
• Trust.

Requirements for the company

• Director of the company - at least one director, no residency requirements;
• Company secretary – at least one natural person;
• Shares - only nominal;
• Legal address in Malta;
• The minimum authorized capital of 1,250 euros at the time of filing an application for registration must be paid at least 20%.
