Branch of a foreign company with the right to do business in Latvia

A branch of a foreign company is an organizationally independent subdivision or part of a foreign company, which is territorially separated from the main company and where regular commercial activities are carried out on behalf of the respective company in the territory of the Republic of Latvia. A branch is not considered an independent legal entity.

The foreign parent enterprise is fully responsible for the activities and obligations of its subsidiary. Registration in the State Register takes only four working days from the moment of preparation and signing of registration documents in the Commercial Register of the Republic of Latvia.
