Charitable Foundation
In accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine, a charitable organization is a legal entity of private law, the constituent documents of which define charitable activities in one or more areas defined by law as the main goal of its activities.
The areas of charitable activity are:
- education;
- health protection;
- ecology, environmental protection and animal protection;
- prevention of natural and man-made disasters and elimination of their consequences, assistance to victims of disasters, armed conflicts and accidents, as well as refugees and people in difficult life circumstances;
- guardianship and guardianship, legal representation and legal assistance;
- social protection, social security, social services and poverty alleviation;
- culture and art, protection of cultural heritage;
- science and research;
- sports and physical culture;
- human and civil rights and fundamental freedoms;
- development of territorial communities;
- development of international cooperation of Ukraine;
- stimulating economic growth and development of the economy of Ukraine and its individual regions and increasing the competitiveness of Ukraine;
- assistance in the implementation of state, regional, local and international programs aimed at improving the socio-economic situation in Ukraine;
- assistance to the defense capability and mobilization readiness of the country, protection of the population in emergency situations of peaceful and martial law.

- For resident legal entities - a certificate or extract of state registration, a decision on participation in the creation of a charitable organization;
- For non-resident legal entities - a document confirming the registration of a foreign legal entity in its country, a decision to participate in the creation of a charitable organization, a notarized (apostilled) power of attorney for a representative who will sign documents on behalf of the company, a copy of the passport and identification code of the representative;
- A copy of the passport and identification code of the head (can only be a citizen of Ukraine).
- Extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Formations;
- Decision on entering into the Register of Non-Profit Institutions and Organizations
- Minutes of the constituent assembly;
- Charter;
- Agreement with a bank on opening an account;

The purposes of charitable activities are to assist in promoting the legitimate interests of beneficiaries in the areas of charitable activities determined by law, as well as to develop and support these areas in the public interest. At the same time, the purpose of the activities of a charitable organization in no case can be profit and its distribution among the founders.
A charitable organization may be established as a charitable society, a charitable institution or a charitable foundation subject to the specifics specified by law.
